As I write this, it is Monday morning, and across America, churches are trying to sort out the weekend offerings that came in online. Today, churches will spend hours on the phone attempting to get help from their digital giving provider to fix the mistake that Sister Elizabeth made on her online gift. Unless you are entrusted with the business side of your church, you are probably unaware of this weekly event.
If this sounds like your typical Monday, I have a question for you: Are you happy with your current giving platform? In this post, I will give you seven reasons why you should give us a call.
1. We offer the finest customer service in the industry. Don’t take our word for it. Here is what a couple of our church partners said recently about the service they have received from OG. Kenneth Schafer, the Stewardship Minister at Brentwood Baptist Church in the Nashville area, recently commented, “Every time I have an idea or an issue, I get immediate responses from the OG team. They are a joy to work with.” Seacoast Community Church’s Trace Pupke, Director of Data Management, said, “We have found OG to be quick to respond to our needs. We have also found that their platform gives us wide options of tools we can use for giving and church-wide communication. OG has been great to work with!” Can you say this about your current online provider? If not, then you need to call us!
2. We offer the most creative platform in the industry, designed for your convenience and ease of use. We offer over a dozen ways through which people can give. We also have the industry's best communication platform. Again, don’t take our word for it; here is what Micah Flashman of Vox Church in New Haven, CT, said, “Every time I visit the site and look over the dashboard, I see new things. I see improvements, new features, better reporting, etc. All the main things we want we are getting with OnlineGiving.org. When you have that, why then go through the process of switching to another platform? I’ll be honest. We have looked at other firms. But I keep asking our staff, would we get this kind of support elsewhere? I send OG a request, and typically, I get an answer immediately, like in two hours. It doesn’t make sense to go anywhere else.” We make implementing these new tools easy with our dedicated support team, which is always here to provide you with the confidence and security you need in your online giving platform. Can you say that about your current online provider? If not, then you need to call us!
3. We are a Christian company independently owned by two men active in their local church. One of our co-founders, Stephen Ballard, once told me, “We are not in this to make money.” He said, “I wish churches knew that serving them is what we are all about. I have had multiple offers to sell, but I always refuse. Our clients know that we have always been Christian-owned and Christian-operated. Many firms in the online space are no longer owned by a Christian group but by some hedge fund. Hedge funds exist to make money. We exist to serve churches!"
Not only are the owners active in local churches, but every OG team member is also. This Sunday, you’ll find me helping my wife teach four-—and five-year-olds that Jesus loves them. The OG team “gets” church because we actively attend church. Does your online provider’s team actively attend church? If not, then it might be time to give us a call.
4. We don’t require a contract. Many churches don’t switch providers because they can’t get out of their contract. Have you read the fine print of your contract? We don’t force our church partners to stay. However, we have a 98% retention rate. You don't need a contract when you meet your client’s expectations. We strive to be the best, so you will never need to shop for another digital giving provider. We strive to exceed your expectations so that, like Micah Flashman said, “It doesn’t make sense to go anywhere else.” Have you been putting off changing giving platforms? If so, it’s time to give us a call!
5. We make the onboarding process easy. We understand that the hassle of transitional giving platforms can be a major deterrent for churches. That's why our team has made onboarding a seamless experience: you can focus on your ministry without the stress of technical transitions. Listen to these testimonials about our onboarding process. Colin West, IT Coordinator, Christian Life Cathedral, Dayton, OH, said, “The onboarding process for us was nothing less than amazing. We have made financial transitions a few times over the past two decades, and this was by far the easiest.” Fred Lofberg, Director of Finance, Fourth Presbyterian Church, Bethesda, MD, said, "Our transfer was very easy. It was like going from a Flintstone model to a Ferrari.” We can make your onboarding process easy as well. Why would you not consider switching if onboarding wasn't a hassle and your rates were better? If your digital giving provider's platform doesn’t perform like a Ferrari, it might be time to give us a call!
6. We’ll save you time and money. Once again, let me let our church partners share their experiences. When it comes to saving time, read what Doug Mumma, the Mission/Fundraising Specialist at Perimeter Church in Atlanta, said, “Since joining OnlineGiving.org, we have had so much more time to do our job. Our previous platform was double the work. I was constantly on the phone with their engineers, trying to fix something or figure out how to change something. Plus, our old system was not easy for our donors to use. I was on the phone a lot trying to help them set it up or to correct some errors. Our people were so frustrated with our old system, and I had to answer many calls. With OG, I rarely have problems on the phone. We have heard nothing but positive things from our donors!” We can do the same for you!
Many giving platforms require you to pay an annual fee upfront. OG doesn’t believe in charging annually or paying an upfront fee. We charge churches monthly, which allows a church of any size to afford our services. It also allows them to use more of their money for Kingdom purposes. Is your digital giving provider saving you money? If not, then it’s time to give us a call.
7. We are more than a processing company! Sure, we can process your digital dollars quickly, securely, and efficiently. However, our platform and tools allow you to do so much more. Our Custom Forms, for instance, allow you to instantly communicate with your donors. Through our system, you can run your guest sign-up, prayer requests, ffer sermon notes, event registrations, surveys, questionnaires, and so much more. Our platform integrates with the major Church Management Systems. So, you save money avoiding a third-party vendor and save time since the information in the form goes seamlessly into your ChMS. Does your current giving platform offer you the same service? If not, then it might be time to give us a call.
