“But wait, that’s not all!” I remember that phrase from my childhood watching TV with my family. A commercial would come on touting some great gadget or tool to make your life easier. Whatever the device, towards the end of the commercial, the announcer would shout out, “But wait, that’s not all!” He would then list some other items you would get for “free” with your purchase of the main device. The ad on was an attempt to close the transaction with you purchasing whatever was being touted. For my family, that was the Veg O Matic, a kitchen device that was supposed to make slicing potatoes easier.
I’m not sure what we received besides our purchase of the Veg O Matic, but we were always thrilled with getting something extra. When I talk with people about OnlineGiving.org, or I write about our platform, the phrase, “But wait, that’s not all,” comes to my mind.

Form generators are not new. Form generators allow you to do various things, from surveys to sign-ups. You have probably heard of Google Forms or one of the several companies that provide such services. A church could sign-up with one of these companies, but it’s one more place to manage data and one more bill to pay. Our church partners can manage our Custom Forms Feature within the OnlineGiving.org control panel.

- Guest Sign-Up. Many churches produce QR codes that, when scanned, take new attendees to a Custom Form where key information can be gathered and stored in OnlineGiving.org and your ChMS.
- Prayer Requests. Using our form builder, you can easily allow members to share their prayer requests and set actions to send automatic notifications to members of your team.
- Event sign-ups. From baptisms to attending camp, our forms allow for easy sign-up and payment (if required).
- Sermon notes. You can outline the sermon so people can follow along, filling in blanks on the form and reading included scriptures. The form can be automatically emailed to the user when completed.
- Surveys and questionnaires. Suppose you want to find out how many of your members would consider attending a new earlier service. You can use our form builder to query your members about their preferred options. And a new feature we just added uses conditional logic to direct people to the right questions. For instance, if a member answered no to a particular question, the next question would be different if they had said yes. This feature allows you to better survey your members.
