Fellowship One (F1) Integration Overview

Online Giving provides direct API integration with Fellowship One (also known as F1) for automatic donor matching and donation recording. This feature is available to all churches on our $30+/month plans. With F1 integration, your donations can be effortlessly matched to the right donors and recorded directly into your F1 system.

Getting Started with Setting up F1 Integration

To begin setting up the Fellowship One integration, contact our support team at support@onlinegiving.org with the following details:

  • Fellowship One Church Code
  • Fellowship One Administrator Username
  • Fellowship One Administrator Password

Our team will use this information to sign into your F1 control panel and link it to your Online Giving account. Your login credentials will be securely stored for future support. Once the integration is complete, we will configure your funds and sub-funds to match those in F1 and confirm the setup with you.

How to Update Funds/Sub-Funds with Matching F1 Funds

The integration between Online Giving and F1 ensures that each donation is linked to the correct F1 fund or sub-fund. If you need to update or match funds manually, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Online Giving control panel.
  2. Click on Funds in the left navigation menu.
  3. Click the gear icon next to the fund you wish to manage.
  4. Select Edit Fund from the drop-down menu.
  5. From the Fellowship One Funds drop-down menu, select the appropriate F1 fund.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.
  7. Repeat these steps for additional funds as needed.

Donor Sign In with inFellowship Credentials

The integration allows donors to sign in with their existing inFellowship username and password, streamlining the donation process. Donors can log in using the blue F1 sign-in button on the donor website login page. Once authenticated, the system will automatically match their profile with F1, eliminating the need for manual matching.

Automatic Donor Matching with F1

Online Giving uses a sophisticated, multi-factor algorithm to automatically match donors to their F1 profiles. After a donation is made, the software searches for a matching F1 individual profile. If a match is found, the F1 Individual ID is linked to the donor’s profile for future donations. If no match is found, the donation will be flagged for manual review by church administrators.

Manual Matching Process

If the automated system cannot find a match, administrators can manually update a donor's profile by assigning the correct F1 Individual or Household ID. Business donations can also be recorded under households within F1, offering flexible recording options.

Automatic Donation Recording with F1

Once a donation is approved by the payment gateway, Online Giving automatically records it in Fellowship One. This process runs in the background, and the system retries up to 12 hours if there are any delays in recording. Each donation is tagged with its unique F1 Donation ID, which can be viewed in the Online Giving control panel.
