This integration ensures that your donation data is synced across both platforms, reducing manual input and minimizing the risk of errors. Below, we'll explain how to set up and manage this integration effectively.
Getting Started with Setting up DP Consulting Integration
Our support team is ready to assist you in setting up the DP Consulting integration. To get started, email your request to support@onlinegiving.org and include the following details:
Required Information to Get Started with DP Consulting:
- DP Consulting API URL
- DP Consulting API Organization
- DP Consulting API Username
- DP Consulting API Password
Once we receive this information, we'll configure your Online Giving account to link with your DP Consulting account. After the setup is complete, we’ll update your funds/sub-funds with the corresponding DP Consulting funds and notify you when the integration is successful.
How to Update Funds/Sub-Funds with Matching DP Consulting Funds
Once the integration is in place, Online Giving will automatically send donation records to DP Consulting, ensuring that contributions are assigned to the correct DP Consulting fund. Here's how you can update or match your funds and sub-funds with DP Consulting funds from within your Online Giving control panel:
Steps to Update Funds/Sub-Funds:
- Login to your Online Giving control panel.
- Click on Funds from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Find the fund you'd like to manage and click the Gear icon next to it.
- From the dropdown, select Edit Fund.
- Enter the corresponding DP Consulting Fund ID into the “External Fund Number” field.
- Click Save to commit your changes.
- Repeat steps 2–6 for any additional funds.
Automatic Donation Recording with DP Consulting
After a donation is approved by the payment gateway, Online Giving will automatically queue the donation for recording in DP Consulting. This process runs in the background and includes retries over a 12-hour period if the recording fails.
You can view the DP Consulting response code and manually push a donation for recording if necessary.

- Click on Donations from the left-hand navigation menu.

- Click on the donation’s row to open the donation detail window.
