IconCMO Direct Integration Overview

Online Giving integrates directly with IconCMO to automatically match donors and record donations, saving time and reducing errors. With this integration, your church's donations flow seamlessly into IconCMO, ensuring that financial records remain accurate and up-to-date.


Getting Started with Setting up IconCMO Integration

Our support team is ready to help you configure the IconCMO integration. To get started, please email us at support@onlinegiving.org with the following information:

  • IconCMO Administrator Phone Number
  • IconCMO Administrator Username
  • IconCMO Administrator Password

We will use this information to securely log into your IconCMO account and link it with Online Giving. Once the integration is complete, your funds and sub-funds will be updated with their corresponding IconCMO accounts. We will notify you once everything is set up.


How to Update Funds/Sub-Funds with IconCMO Donation Funds

Follow these steps to link your Online Giving funds with their corresponding IconCMO funds:

  1. Log in to your control panel.
  2. Click on "Funds" from the left navigation menu.
  3. Click the Gear icon next to the fund you wish to manage.
  4. Select "Edit Fund" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Select the matching IconCMO fund from the "IconCMO Funds" dropdown menu.
  6. Click "Save" to apply changes.
  7. Repeat the process for additional funds.

Automatic Donor Matching with IconCMO

Online Giving’s advanced multi-factor matching algorithm automatically matches donors to their IconCMO profiles. This ensures that donations are correctly attributed to the right household based on the donor's profile and contribution envelope number.

  • Automatic Matching: Donor profiles are matched in the background when a donation is processed.
  • Failed Matches: If no match is found, the donation remains pending for manual review. You can update donor profiles manually in the control panel, ensuring future donations are matched correctly.

Automatic Donation Recording with IconCMO

Once a donation is processed, it is automatically queued for recording into IconCMO. Our system retries any failed recordings for up to 12 hours. If a donation cannot be recorded after this period, it will require manual intervention.

  • Successful Recordings: The IconCMO donation ID will be stored and visible in the transaction details.
  • Failed Recordings: A "Retry Recording" button will appear for manual retry attempts.

How to View IconCMO Donation ID for a Transaction

  1. Log in to your control panel.
  2. Click on "Donations" from the left navigation menu.
  3. Search or filter donations as needed.
  4. Click on the donation row to view the details.
  5. The IconCMO Donation ID will be displayed in the bottom right of the donation detail window.

How to Manually Trigger Donation Recording into IconCMO

  1. Log in to your control panel.
  2. Click on "Donations" from the left navigation menu.
  3. Search or filter donations as needed.
  4. Click on the donation row to view the details.
  5. Click the "Retry Recording" button in the bottom right of the window to manually re-record the donation.

How to View Donations Recorded into IconCMO

  1. Log in to your control panel.
  2. Click on "Donations" from the left navigation menu.
  3. Click the "Additional Filters" button in the top-right corner.
  4. Select "IconCMO Recorded Contributions" from the dropdown menu to view donations successfully recorded into IconCMO.

How to View Donations Pending IconCMO Recording

  1. Log in to your control panel.
  2. Click on "Donations" from the left navigation menu.
  3. Click the "Additional Filters" button in the top-right corner.
  4. Select "IconCMO Pending Contributions" from the dropdown menu to view donations that are awaiting manual review or retry.

    Donations are automatically retried for 12 hours. If the system still fails to record, it will require a manual retry from the control panel.
