Getting Started with Setting up SalesForce Integration

How to Update Funds/Sub-Funds with Matching SalesForce Funds
After integration, all donation records will sync with the corresponding SalesForce fund. Follow these steps to manage your funds:
- Login to your OnlineGiving control panel.
- Select Funds from the left menu.
- Click the gear icon next to the fund you want to edit.
- Select Edit Fund from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the correct SalesForce Fund from the list.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Repeat as necessary for additional funds.
Automatic Donor Matching with SalesForce
The SalesForce integration includes automatic donor matching through a multi-factor algorithm. This process matches donor profiles to SalesForce contacts or organizations based on donation data.
How it Works:
- Matches are automatically saved for future donations.
- If no match is found, a new SalesForce contact or organization is created and stored in the donor's profile.

After a donation is made, OnlineGiving automatically records it in SalesForce as an NPSP Opportunity. Each donation is tracked with a SalesForce Opportunity ID and linked to the appropriate contact or organization.
If a donation fails to record, the system will retry over 12 hours, or you can manually trigger the recording using the steps below:
