New Option to Configure a Secondary Non-Tax Deductible Processor for the Process4Change (NMI) Gateway

We're pleased to report an update is now live that enhances the OnlineGiving.org platform to support up to two non-tax-deductible processors for accepting payments. Often church may desire to have a secondary merchant processor configured in their Process4Change (NMI) gateway to allow complete separation of donations vs. payments. The goal of this feature enhancement for scenarios in which a church may desire to accept multiple types of payments that require completely separate deposits with OnlineGiving.org. An example of this may be for separating bookstore payments vs. general event registration payments. Once the feature is enabled, church administrators may configure any Online Giving fund/sub-fund to use the secondary merchant gateway processor. Should the church desire to enable the new feature, please feel free to reach out to support@onlinegiving.org

New Ability to Trigger Secondary Non-Tax Deductible Processor for Direct Link MinistryPlatform Invoice Payments

An update is now live designed for churches who have a secondary non-tax deductible (payments) processor configured for their account to allow them to trigger the use of that processor for MinistryPlatform handoffs of Invoice payments. The new feature works with a simple MinistryPlatform Invoice payment handoff or our Express MinistryPlatform Invoice handoff features, allowing the end-user to be returned to a church supplied URL after payment. Please note this update is designed for church IT staff/developers. Kindly see below for the new optional handoff URL parameter that may be used on accounts with a secondary non-tax-deductible Process4Change (NMI) processor configured.

Example of MinistryPlatform Invoice Handoff

https://.onlinegiving.org/donate/mpinvoicepayment/?amount=&use_alt2_gateway=1

WHERE:

  • (Your OnlineGiving.org Church Sub-Domain)
  • (The MinistryPlatform Invoice ID for the End User)
  • (The optional payment amount that should be auto-populated on the form)
  • user_alt2_gateway=1 (The URL feature flag to enable the use of the secondary non-tax-deductible processor)

NOTES:

  • When "user_alt2_gateway=1" is omitted, the primary non-tax-deductible processor will be used.
  • If desired, contact us for additional information on how to use with MinistryPlatform single sign-on URL parameters.

Example of MinistryPlatform Invoice Handoff (Express)

https://.onlinegiving.org/donate/express?use_alt2_gateway=1&mp_invoice_id=&redirect_label=&amount=&redirect_url=

WHERE:

  • (Your OnlineGiving.org Church Sub-Domain)
  • user_alt2_gateway=1 (The URL feature flag to enable the use of the secondary non-tax-deductible processor)
  • (The MinistryPlatform Invoice ID for the End User)
  • (The redirect button label displayed after payment)
  • (The optional payment amount that should be auto-populated on the form)
  • (The redirect URL that the user should be automatically redirected to after payment)

NOTES:
