We are excited to announce the release of an update to the "MP Add Event Metric" integration action for custom forms on OnlineGiving.org. This update brings a significant improvement in how the MP Event in the series is selected for recording an MP Event Metric via an OnlineGiving.org custom form submission.
Previously, the integration selected the most current MP Event but excluded any past MP Event that happened prior to the custom form submission. However, we have now enhanced the "MP Add Event Metric" custom form integration action to choose the closest MP Event in the series based on the OnlineGiving.org custom form submission date. This new design allows for both same-day MP Events and past MP Events within the last 30 days (of the form submission date) to be detected, enabling church administrators to submit event metrics via the OnlineGiving.org custom form after an MP Event is completed (but prior to the next event).
Please note that this feature release requires the OnlineGiving.org custom MP SQL Procedure named "api_OGCC_GetEventSeries" to be installed for event series support. However, if the SQL procedure is not installed, then the "MP Add Event Metric" feature is still available, but limited to recording the MP Event Metric to the specific event supplied in the custom form configuration.

This update brings a significant improvement in how the MP Event in the series is selected for recording an MP Event Metric via an OnlineGiving.org chatbot conversation.
Previously, the integration selected the most current MP Event but excluded any past MP Event that happened prior to the conversation completion. However, we have now enhanced the "MP Add Event Metric" custom form integration action to choose the closest MP Event in the series based on the OnlineGiving.org chatbot conversation date. This new design allows for both same-day MP Events and past MP Events within the last 30 days (of chat conversation date) to be detected, enabling church administrators to submit event metrics via the OnlineGiving.org chatbot after an MP Event is completed (but prior to the next event).
