NEW: OnlineGiving.org Mobile App > App Designer > MinistryPlatform > Enhanced MP Contact Fields Refresh Functionality
We're excited to announce an update to the OnlineGiving.org Mobile App, specifically for MinistryPlatform churches using MP Contact Fields in the App Designer. To optimize performance, the app caches MP Contact Field data in local storage after login, reducing the need to repeatedly query this information on each page load or app restart. With this update, we’ve made it easier than ever for authenticated users to refresh this data when needed.
What’s New:
- Pull-to-Refresh MP Contact Record on the Home Page: Mobile app users can now simply pull down on the home page to force a refresh of their MP Contact information. This ensures the most up-to-date details are loaded effortlessly.
- Automatic MP Contact Record Cache Removal on Logout: When users log out of the mobile app, the cached MP Contact information is automatically cleared, enhancing security and accuracy for future sessions.
Important: After using the pull-to-refresh functionality, users must force close and reopen the app to view the refreshed MP Contact information. Here’s how to do this:
- On Android: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the recent apps menu (or use the recent apps button, depending on your device). Find the church app and swipe it off the screen to close it. Then reopen the app from your home screen or app drawer.
- On iOS: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle to open the app switcher. Locate the church app, swipe it upward to close it, and then reopen it from your home screen.
These improvements make managing and accessing MinistryPlatform contact information more efficient and seamless.
