OnlineGiving.org Platform Transaction Submission Validation Update to Further Prevent Apple Pay & Cover-the-Fee
An update is now live to OnlineGiving.org platform that aids in further preventing Apple Pay with cover-the-fee from being submitted in the event the donor is using an outdated cached version of the giving website. It's important to note that all OnlineGiving.org giving website updates are deployed using cache-busting technology. However, it is possible to use an old cached version of the website if a person has manually adjusted their web browser cache settings or similar. The update adds an additional check on our platform server side, which will detect a submission with Apple Pay and cover-the-fee and will now return a friendly message to the donor letting them know to uncheck the cover-the-fee checkbox and try their gift again.
