OnlineGiving.org QuickEntery & Check Scanning > Ability to Optionally Email Transaction Receipts for New Batches

We are pleased to announce that OnlineGiving.org now provides an optional feature for churches that use QuickEntry (Cash & Paper Check) or Check Scanning features. This feature enables the automatic sending of transaction email receipts to donors after the church administrator submits new batches. Normally, OnlineGiving.org does not send out email notifications for QuickEntry (Cash & Paper Check) or Check Scanning donations by default, as it is assumed that donors may not want email receipts. However, with the new update, churches can choose to enable email transaction receipts for donors for transactions that are entered via the QuickEntry and Check Scanning batch methods. To activate this feature, please get in touch with support@onlinegiving.org.

OnlineGiving.org Planning Center Mobile App > Ability to Optionally Hide Group Street Addresses & Mapping

An updated version of the OnlineGiving.org Planning Center Mobile App has been released with new features that allow churches to disable the display of street addresses and mapping for the mobile app group finder feature. This new group street address privacy feature ensures that the group location is only displayed as the "name" and "city, state" rather than the full address. Moreover, all group finder mapping is disabled for privacy purposes to provide an alternative option for churches that use in-house small groups and want to maintain privacy as opposed to the Sunday school model.

It is worth noting that mobile app users may need to close the open app from the mobile device app switcher to view the latest changes. For iOS devices, users should swipe up and hold from the bottom of the screen to view the app switcher (task manager), then swipe up on the open app to close it, and then open the app again to view the latest changes. For older iOS devices, users should double-tap the home button to view the app switcher. For Android devices, users should tap the navigation button, swipe up on the open app to close it, and then open the app again to view the latest changes.

To enable this new feature for the OnlineGiving.org Planning Center mobile app, please contact support@onlinegiving.org.
