New OnlineGiving.org MinistryPlatform Setting to Enable Latest MP Control Panel Links

We're pleased to announce an update is now live that (optionally) allows the latest MinistryPlatform Control Panel links to be used from the OnlineGiving.org control panel. We understand that not all MP church administrators are ready to migrate to the newest MP control panel, and for that reason, the feature is disabled by default. However, church administrators who desire to have the latest MP control panel links may reach out to suppport@onlinegiving.org and request the feature to be enabled. 

OnlineGiving.org > Giving Settings > Gift Declined BCC Setting Enhanced to Allow Multiple Email Addresses.

An update is now live that enhances the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel > Giving Settings > Gift Decline BCC setting to allow one or more email addresses to be added as a BCC globally to gift decline emails. Prior to the update, the "Decline BCC" setting allowed a single email address to be supplied. Moving forward, a church administrator may now optionally supply a comma-separated list of email addresses to allow multiple emails to be added as a BCC globally to gift decline emails. Kindly note this feature is only recommended for small churches or ministries as it will globally BCC the email(s) on all declined gift emails.

An update is now live that enhances the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel > Giving Settings > Gift Message BCC setting to allow one or more email addresses to be added as a BCC globally to approved gift emails. Prior to the update, the "Gift Message BCC" setting allowed a single email address to be supplied. Moving forward, a church administrator may now optionally supply a comma-separated list of email addresses to allow multiple emails to be added as a BCC globally to approved gift emails. Kindly note this feature is only recommended for small churches or ministries as it will globally BCC the email(s) on all approved gift emails.

Please note that we currently support a "Refund BCC" email setting under the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel Giving Settings, which already contains support for multiple email addresses.

OnlineGiving.org Chatbot Enhanced Phone Number Matching for Text Message Conversations

We're pleased to announce an update is now live to the OnlineGiving.org chatbot for conversations over text message (SMS). The update enhances the chatbot for text message conversations to allow the OnlineGiving.org matching algorithm to extend into the phone number field located on the user profile. Before the update, only verified phone numbers, such as those used for sign-in or text giving, were allowed to be used for chatbot phone number matching purposes.

The update extends this functionality and allows the phone number located on a user profile to be used as a fallback match when a verified phone number cannot be located. The update's goal is to allow the chatbot autofill features to find additional user profiles that may not yet be signed up for text giving or used their phone number for sign-in purposes.

It's important to note this functionality is available for text message-based (SMS) conversations since the device phone number is supplied by Twilio directly. In the event, multiple profiles are found with the same phone number, the system will take the user profile with the latest login activity. No action is required to take advantage of the update as it has been applied globally.
