Questions & Answers Now Recorded into MP Notes Field for Custom-Form Payments & Donations
An update is now live for MinistryPlatform churches using OnlineGiving.org custom-forms for accepting payments or donations. Moving forward, OnlineGiving.org will now place the custom-form questions/answers into the MP Notes field for the MP Donation or MP Payments record, which allows the custom-form answers to be viewed inside MinistryPlatform by a church administrator. The update is automatic for any donation or payment processed by an OnlineGiving.org custom-form (no integration actions required).

MinistryPlatform Widgets Payment Handoff Now Supported
We're pleased to report an update is now live that enhances our Express payments flow to add support for MinistryPlatform's upcoming MP Payment Widgets. Like PayPal, OnlineGiving.org's Express payment flow allows the MP Payment Widget to hand off payment for completion to OnlineGiving.org and the end-user to be redirected to the MP Widget supplied return URL once the payment is completed. Additionally, we took it a step further and built-in a single sign-on into the MP Widget Handoff to automatically allow authentication to be securely passed from the MP Payment Widget to OnlineGiving.org. The single sign-on allows end-users with existing OnlineGiving.org accounts to instantly access saved payment methods for quick payments. For your convenience, we've included the OnlineGiving.org endpoint below that should be used when configuring the MP Payment Widget on your church website once MP releases it.

- would be your church OnlineGiving.org sub-domain
- The "?jwt=" is required in the link as the MP Widget will append the payment token to this URL parameter.
Kindly note the MP Payment Widget is an upcoming feature at MinistryPlatform and will be released soon, subject to the feature release timeline of MP. The enhancement on OnlineGiving.org's end is ready to go in anticipation of the upcoming release. Once the feature is released, OnlineGiving.org will offer courtesy setup assistance via support@onlinegiving.org for setting up the MP Widgets on your church website.
