Feature Updates 02/26/2026
PayPal & Venmo No Longer Require Card as Default Payment Method
Previously, enabling PayPal or Venmo on your giving form required setting Credit or Debit Card as your default payment method. That restriction is now removed. PayPal and Venmo now work with any default payment method, including Bank Account (eCheck). If you recently enabled PayPal or Venmo and your default payment method was automatically changed to Credit or Debit Card, you can now switch it back to Bank Account (eCheck) if that is your preference. To restore or update, ACH (eCheck) as your default payment method, please contact support@onlinegiving.org. We believe ACH first can be an amazing benifit to the church and not it's supported with PayPal / Venmo enabled.
New: Optionally Disable PayPal / Venmo for Payments (Non-Tax-Deductible Funds)
Need to turn off PayPal and Venmo on giving forms tied to payments (non-tax-deductible funds)? This is now available as a global setting for your church. When enabled, any giving form associated with a non-tax-deductible fund will automatically hide the PayPal and Venmo payment options, while keeping them available on all other forms.
To request this setting for your organization, contact support@onlinegiving.org.
