Chatbot Updated to Detect Auto-Responder Keywords out of Context
We are pleased to report an update is now live that enhances the chatbot functionality for conversations triggered by auto-responder keywords over the Website Chatbox or Facebook Messenger channels for the chatbot. The update allows auto-responder keywords to be matched out of a sentence context when the conversation is over the Website Chatbox or Facebook Messenger channels. Prior to the update conversations over the Website Chatbox or Facebook Messenger required an exact match on auto-responder keywords or phrases. That's no longer the case, as we have enhanced the chatbot auto-responder functionality to allow keyword (or keyword phrase) matching out of context. The update is made possible by using a scoring algorithm that weights the best matching auto-responder keyword (or phrase) against the context of the sentence. The result is the ability to trigger chatbot conversations out of context vs. keyword alone. The update is global for all of OnlineGiving.org customers. No action is required to take advantage of the update.
Did you know? Context matching already existed for built-in functionality such as giving, contact information, or help for the chatbot operating over Website Chatbox or Facebook Messenger. The update above extends similar technology to the church administrator-provided keywords from auto-responders.
MinistryPlatform Household Congregation Updated on Donor Preferred Campus Update
We are pleased to announce an update is now live that enhances the MinistryPlatform integration. If the donor changes their preferred campus from the text giving or giving profile page, OnlineGiving.org will now automatically update the associated MinistryPlatform household with the matching congregation.
A secondary optional feature to the update is available but disabled by default to have the household congregation checked when updating address information from OnlineGiving.org into MinistryPlatform. Churches may reach out to support@onlinegiving.org to request the secondary feature to be enabled for their account (requires MP address updating to be enabled).
