Your AI Assistant Now Sees What You See: Page-Aware Chat &

Your AI Now Investigates Like a Senior Analyst: 18 New Data Chat Skills

What's New with Page Aware Chat

You are looking at the Funds page. You have a question about adding a new campus. You open the AI chat and type "How do I do this?" But the AI has no idea what "this" is. With our latest enhancements, your AI Support Chat now sees exactly what you see. It knows which page you are on, what filters are active, and what content is displayed. When you ask "Help me with this page," it knows precisely what "this page" means -- and gives you an answer that is immediately relevant to your work.

Where to Find It

This upgrade is built right into the AI Support Chat you already use. There is nothing to enable, install, or configure. Open the chat bubble from any admin page, and the AI automatically knows where you are.

Any administrator with chat access benefits immediately.

One Button, Instant Page Help

When you open the chat, the very first suggested prompt is now "Help me with the page I'm on." Tap it, and the AI immediately tells you:

  • What page you are viewing and what it does
  • A breakdown of every section and feature visible on the page
  • How to use the tools and filters in front of you
  • Links to related knowledge base articles for deeper reading

No more hunting through help documentation. No more guessing which article matches the screen you are looking at. The help comes to you, about exactly what you see.

Why it matters: When a new staff member opens the Reports page for the first time and does not know where to start, they tap one button and get a guided walkthrough of every report card on the screen -- what each one does, which date ranges to pick, and which report to run first. That is onboarding in seconds, not hours.

The AI Knows Your Filters and Data

The AI does not just know which page you are on. It knows the details of what you are looking at:

  • Active filters: If you filtered transactions to "Last Month" and "Approved only," the AI sees that
  • Date ranges: The AI reads your selected date range and uses it to contextualize its answers
  • Stat cards and summaries: On pages with dashboard numbers (Total Submissions, Unique People, Active Forms), the AI can reference the actual values you see
  • Modal content: If you have a modal open -- an invoice detail, a form submission, a donor record -- the AI knows what is in that modal

Ask "Why are my numbers so low this month?" and the AI can see your date range, your filter settings, and your summary cards. It gives you an answer grounded in your actual view, not a generic explanation.

Why it matters: Your executive pastor asks why the Benevolence Fund looks different this month. You are already on the Fund Report page with the right filters applied. Instead of copying numbers into a message, you ask the AI. It sees everything on your screen and explains the trend in context. Five seconds, not fifteen minutes.

Start Fresh Conversations Easily

We added a dedicated New Chat button right in the chat header -- a simple "+" icon between the title and the menu. No more digging through the overflow menu to start a fresh conversation.

The button appears automatically when you have an active conversation, and disappears on a clean chat screen. It is always one tap away when you need it.

Why it matters: When you move from reviewing donations to managing custom forms, you want a clean conversation that starts with the right context. One tap resets the chat, and your next question picks up the page context from wherever you are now.

Know When the AI Is Working Hard

When you ask a question that requires querying your organization's data, the AI now tells you what it is doing:

  • "Querying your data..." appears when the AI is running a database query to find your answer
  • "Generating response..." appears when the AI is composing its final answer from the results
  • "Thinking..." appears for standard support questions

This replaces the old generic "Thinking..." spinner for every question. Now you know when a question is taking a moment because the AI is searching through your data -- not because something went wrong.

Why it matters: When you ask "Who are our top 10 donors this year?" and the spinner says "Querying your data...," you know the AI is actually searching your donor records. You wait with confidence instead of wondering if the chat is broken.

Copy and Select Text Freely

You can now select and copy text from any AI response. Highlight a paragraph, a table, or a single number. Copy it into an email, a document, or a message to your team.

This works across all chat responses -- tables, bullet points, summaries, and data results.

Why it matters: When the AI gives you a beautiful summary of your giving trends, you can paste it directly into your board report email without retyping a single word.

Your AI Now Investigates Like a Senior Analyst: 18 New Data Chat Skills

What's New

You already know your AI Support Chat can answer data questions. Ask "how many donations this month?" and you get a number in seconds. That part has been incredible.

But what about the harder questions? "Why did this donation decline?" "Is this transaction fraudulent?" "Why did a recurring gift stop?" "What is going on with our ChMS sync?"

Until now, the AI would run a quick query and give you a surface-level answer. It could tell you what happened, but not always why -- and the response was a plain block of text without the structured detail you needed to take action.

That changes today.

Your AI Data Chat now has 18 built-in investigation skills -- specialized diagnostic procedures that guide the AI through multi-step analysis, exactly the way an experienced data analyst would work through the problem. Each skill knows which data to pull, what to look for, how to interpret the results, and how to present a clear, structured answer you can act on immediately.

Where to Find It

These skills activate automatically inside the same AI Support Chat you already use. There is nothing to enable, nothing to configure, and nothing to install.

When you ask a question that matches an investigation skill -- like "tell me about transaction 12345" or "why did this payment decline?" -- the AI automatically loads the right diagnostic procedure and follows it step by step. You will notice the difference immediately in the depth and structure of the response.

Deeper Answers to Every Question

Before, asking "tell me about transaction 12345" might return a few basic fields -- amount, date, status. Now, the AI follows a structured investigation procedure that pulls the full picture:

  • The complete transaction with every relevant field
  • The payment method details -- card brand, last four digits, expiration date, wallet type
  • The donor's giving profile -- lifetime gifts, average amount, active recurring schedules
  • Related records -- the recurring schedule, e-commerce order, or form submission linked to this transaction
  • Everything formatted in clear, labeled sections you can read at a glance

Why it matters: When a donor calls and says "I made a gift last week but I am not sure it went through," you can look up their transaction and see everything -- the payment method, the status, the fund, the receipt delivery -- in one structured response instead of clicking through three different admin pages.

Smarter Diagnostics for Complex Problems

The real power is in the diagnostic skills. These are not simple lookups -- they are multi-step investigations that reason through the problem.

Decline Diagnosis: Ask "why did transaction 54321 decline?" and the AI will pull the transaction, check the gateway response code, look for patterns in the donor's recent history (multiple declines? expired card? bank rejection?), check if the payment method is still valid, and present a structured diagnosis with the most likely cause and recommended next steps.

Fraud Assessment: Ask "is this transaction suspicious?" and the AI analyzes the amount against the donor's giving average, checks for velocity patterns (multiple transactions in a short window), looks at timing anomalies, compares the payment source to their usual channel, and delivers a risk assessment with supporting evidence -- not just a yes or no.

Recurring Gift Problems: Ask "why did this recurring gift stop?" and the AI traces the subscription status, checks for expired cards, looks at retry history, examines the last successful and failed payments, and tells you exactly what happened and what needs to happen next.

Why it matters: These are the questions that eat up your time. A donor calls about a declined gift, and you spend 15 minutes clicking through transaction details, payment methods, and subscription settings trying to piece together what went wrong. Now the AI does that investigation in seconds and hands you a clear diagnosis.

18 Skills Covering Every Area of Your Data

Each skill is a specialist. Together, they cover every major category of questions your staff encounters:

Giving and Transactions

  • Transaction Lookup: Find any transaction by ID, gateway reference, or group -- with full payment method and donor profile
  • Transaction Investigation: Diagnose declines, ACH returns, refund tracing, and missing transactions
  • Fraud Analysis: Behavioral pattern assessment for suspicious donations
  • Recurring Investigation: Why a recurring gift stopped, expired cards, retry exhaustion
  • Financial Reconciliation: Batch deposits, settlement timing, statement discrepancies
  • Receipt Investigation: Email delivery, opt-out status, why a donor did not receive their receipt
  • Payment Method Investigation: Expired cards, vault tokens, and impact on active subscriptions
  • Pledge Investigation: Campaign tracking, fulfillment verification, fund linkage

People and Pastoral Care

  • Member Profile: Comprehensive view across giving, forms, messaging, engagement, and location
  • Pastoral Care: At-risk donor identification and outreach prioritization
  • Engagement Analysis: Multi-channel participation patterns -- giving, forms, texts, logins
  • Location Intelligence: Geographic connection patterns and travel analysis

Operations and Configuration

  • Giving Health: Organizational donor lifecycle, retention rates, and year-over-year trends
  • Text Messaging Analysis: Keywords, subscribers, delivery rates, campaigns, and troubleshooting
  • Checkout Analysis: E-commerce orders, product performance, and non-donation payments
  • Fund Configuration: Fund visibility, giving page linkage, and widget diagnostics
  • Form Investigation: Submission tracking, payment linkage, and notification diagnosis
  • ChMS Investigation: Sync failures, person matching, and integration diagnostics

Why it matters: No matter what area of your ministry operations a question touches -- giving, people, messaging, forms, or store -- there is a specialized skill ready to investigate it thoroughly.

Structured Responses You Can Act On

The old AI gave you a paragraph. The new AI gives you a structured report.

When you look up a transaction, you get clearly labeled sections: the header with transaction and gateway IDs, the donor with their giving history, full payment details with card brand and expiration, gift details with fund and source, fee coverage information, and processing status -- all organized so your eyes go straight to the information you need.

When you ask about giving health, you get donor lifecycle numbers (new, retained, lapsed, recovered), year-over-year comparisons with percentage changes, payment method distribution, recurring versus one-time breakdown, and fund performance -- synthesized into an analytical narrative, not just raw numbers.

Why it matters: When your executive pastor asks "how are we doing compared to last year?" you can paste the AI's response directly into a board report. It is already formatted with the clarity and structure that decision-makers expect.

The AI Picks the Right Skill Automatically

You do not need to know that these skills exist. You do not need to name them or select them from a menu.

Just ask your question naturally:

  • "Tell me about transaction 12345" -- loads Transaction Lookup
  • "Why did this decline?" -- loads Transaction Investigation
  • "Is this gift suspicious?" -- loads Fraud Analysis
  • "How is our giving compared to last year?" -- loads Giving Health
  • "Tell me about John Smith" -- loads Member Profile
  • "Why did we not get a batch deposit on Friday?" -- loads Financial Reconciliation

The AI matches your question to the best skill using semantic understanding -- it is not matching keywords, it is understanding the intent of your question. If your question does not match a specific skill, the AI continues to answer it using its general analytical capabilities, just as before.

Everything You Already Love, Now Better

This upgrade does not change how you use AI Data Chat. It makes every answer deeper, more structured, and more actionable. All existing capabilities remain:

  • Natural language questions in plain English
  • Conversation memory for follow-up questions
  • Role-based data access matching your permissions
  • Read-only queries on a safe replica database
  • Output protection that scrubs sensitive data
  • Full audit trail of every question and query
  • Timezone-aware date formatting

The skills are layered on top of all of this. They make the AI smarter without making it more complicated.
