Feature Updates 04/24/2026

This month brings five powerful new features designed to give you more control, more visibility, and a smoother experience across your church management tools — from campus-level dashboard insights to a reimagined giving form.

Every Campus, One Dashboard: Campus Filtering for Giving & Payments

If your church has multiple campuses, your Donations Dashboard and Payments Dashboard now have a campus filter — a simple dropdown in the top-right corner that instantly shows every chart, total, and leaderboard scoped to the campus you choose. One click, and your entire dashboard transforms to show just that location's data.

Where to Find It

The campus filter appears automatically on both dashboards when your organization has multiple campuses configured. Go to Giving > Dashboard for donations or Payments > Dashboard for non-donation payments. Any administrator with Dashboard, Giving, or Payments access can use it.

Key Highlights

  • The dropdown is searchable — start typing a campus name and it narrows the list instantly
  • Every chart title updates to show which campus you are viewing (e.g., "Top Donors (Central)")
  • Summary totals, fund breakdowns, weekly trends, top donors, and scheduled donations all filter by campus
  • The Growth Chart intentionally stays organization-wide for your big-picture trend
  • The URL updates when you select a campus — bookmark or share a filtered view
  • Single-campus churches see no change — the dropdown only appears with multiple campuses

One-Time Sign-In by Email for the Control Panel

Your church control panel sign-in page can now offer an extra choice: Email me a one-time link. When available, we send a message to your administrator email with a secure link to open the control panel for that session. Signing in with your email and password is unchanged — it remains the normal, full-featured way to access the panel.

When You Will See It

The one-time sign-in option appears on your control panel sign-in page when our system recognizes the network you are using as one already associated with your church's control panel activity. If the network is not recognized, password sign-in is required — this is intentional for additional security.

Key Highlights

  • Each link expires in about 15 minutes and is for a single use
  • The link is secured to the same device and browser where you submitted the request
  • If you do not see the option, nothing is wrong — sign in with email and password as usual
  • Traveling, new Wi-Fi, or unfamiliar connections are common reasons the option may not appear

Non-Cash Donations Now Track Toward Pledges in MinistryPlatform

By default, OnlineGiving.org records non-cash donations (cryptocurrency, stock transfers, and other non-cash assets) as a $0 USD contribution in MinistryPlatform. This is the standard IRS-compliant approach.

Now, with a new optional setting (disabled by default), the USD fair market value of every non-cash donation can flow directly into MinistryPlatform instead. When enabled, pledge balances decrease automatically, internal reporting reflects the true gift value, and MinistryPlatform still shows $0 on contribution statements — exactly as the IRS requires.

What Changes

  • Pledge balances update automatically — a $5,000 crypto donation toward a Building Fund pledge now reduces the balance by $5,000 in MP
  • IRS-compliant statements preserved — MP contribution statements still show $0 for non-cash gifts
  • USD value in donation notes — notes now include the dollar amount alongside asset details (e.g., "Cryptocurrency BTC - 0.00072658 QTY (USD $51.71)")
  • Works for all non-cash types — cryptocurrency, stock transfers, and any other non-cash asset
  • Opt-in per church — email support@onlinegiving.org to have this enabled for your church

Find Any Page in Seconds: Mobile Menu Search

Your admin mobile menu now has a search filter at the very top. Tap it, type a few letters — and the entire menu narrows down to just the matching pages. No more scrolling through dozens of links to find the one you need.

Key Highlights

  • Instant filtering — type a few letters and only matching pages stay visible
  • Smart section hiding — empty sections disappear during search for clean results
  • Auto-reset on close — the menu always opens fresh with no stale filters
  • Sticky search bar — stays pinned to the top as you scroll
  • All reports in Metrics — Custom Form Reports and Text Marketing Reports now appear alongside Donation and Payment Reports

Type What You Mean: Natural Giving Amount Entry

The giving form now uses natural amount entry. Type "100" and you see $100. Type "250.50" and you see $250.50. No mental math. No confusion. Previously, digits were treated as cents first — type "100" and you would see "$1.00" instead of $100. Now the field works naturally from left to right.

Key Highlights

  • Natural left-to-right entry — type "100" to give $100, no more confusion
  • Decimal when you need it — whole-dollar gifts are effortless; add cents with a "."
  • Auto-formatting — amounts clean up with commas and proper decimal places
  • Mobile-optimized keypad — clean number pad with decimal key on every phone
  • Works everywhere — one-time, recurring, multi-fund, and shop checkout all use the improved entry
