Built-In 2FA SMS for Churches without Dedicated Code or Pending A2P Approval

What's New

Getting a dedicated text number for your church requires an A2P campaign registration, and carrier reviews can take days or even weeks. During that waiting period, your members still need login verification codes to access their giving accounts.

We've added courtesy build-in 2FA SMS functionality -- churches that don't yet have a dedicated text number (or are still waiting on A2P campaign approval) can now receive outbound verification codes (2FA login codes) delivered through OnlineGiving.org's shared platform number. When your dedicated number is approved, delivery switches over to your own number automatically.

This applies only to login verification codes -- not text marketing or text-to-give messaging.

Where to Find It

This works automatically for any church that does not yet have a dedicated text number configured. There's nothing to turn on. If your organization is waiting on A2P campaign approval or hasn't purchased a dedicated number yet, login codes route through the OnlineGiving.org platform number.

Once your dedicated number is active, login codes route through your own number automatically.

What This Covers

Login verification codes only:

• Member login codes on the giving page
• Account verification codes during registration

This does not include text marketing, text-to-give, event triggers, or any subscriber-facing messaging. Those features still require your own dedicated text number.
