We're pleased to report an update is now live that provides an alternative refund batching flow for MinistryPlatform churches. The new feature is optional and can be enabled by reaching out to support@onlinegiving.org. Once enabled, refunds will be recorded into MinistryPlatform with a dedicated refund batch/deposit records specifically that a single transaction. By default, refunds are recorded into MinistryPlatform and grouped into a refund batch based on the originating donation batch date and payment type. This new alternative flow allows each refunded or ACH failed transaction to have its own (dedicated) refund batch in MinistryPlatform. The purpose of the secondary refund batch flow is to allow church financial administrators to export (handle) batches immediately in MinistryPlatform without having to worry if a future refund originating from the same batch date will show up in the batch at a later time.
