We’re excited to share the complete redesign of OnlineGiving.org’s Crypto Giving feature — a major upgrade that makes it easier than ever for churches to accept cryptocurrency donations securely, transparently, and with full integration.

What’s New

Direct Transfers to Your Gemini Account

• Donations now move directly from the donor’s wallet into your church’s Gemini.com account.

• OnlineGiving.org payouts are no longer part of the process — you receive crypto directly and instantly.

• We handle the technical side by obtaining and verifying deposit addresses for all supported coins.

Full Gift Tracking and Donor Information

• Collect complete donor and gift details, including fund and sub-fund designations.

• Supports multi-fund (split) crypto donations for added flexibility.

• Donors receive IRS-compliant non-cash asset receipts with full crypto details, but never the USD value.

Expanded Cryptocurrency Support

• Now supports 50+ crypto coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and others

Smart Auto-Liquidation Options

• Choose to liquidate 100% of a donation to USD, or keep a portion in crypto (for example, liquidating 80%).

• Fully automated and always under your control.

Simplified Control Panel Experience

• Donations now appear under Non-Cash Assets with both crypto details and their USD liquidation values.

• Each gift record includes coin quantity, symbol, network, and deposit address, giving administrators full visibility into both the crypto and its USD impact.

Improved Donor Experience

• Donors see a simple, step-by-step process with clear instructions to complete their transfer.

• An email is automatically sent with donation details so they can easily return to the page if needed.

• Donor history now displays both past blockchain-based donations and new Gemini-based gifts in one seamless view.

Lower Fees

• We have reduced our fees to a flat 2.25% — the lowest in the church giving industry.

Simple End-of-Month Billing

We’ve also made billing for crypto giving straightforward and convenient:

• At the end of each month, churches receive an email invoice summarizing all completed crypto donations from the previous month.

• Fees are automatically billed using the church’s saved bank account (ACH).

• Administrators can access past invoices directly in the OnlineGiving.org control panel under Non-Cash Assets > Crypto Billing.

This means all crypto donation fees are handled with clear, predictable, end-of-month billing.
