OnlineGiving.org Mobile App MinistryPlatform Announcements Updated
An update is now live to the OnlineGiving.org mobile app for MinistryPlatform to enhance the MP Announcements feature to detect a blank announcement body with an announcement link and to directly open the link when the announcement preview item is tapped by the end-user instead of navigating to the announcement detail page. The goal of the update is to enhance the end-user experience by skipping a "tap" (click) and directly opening the announcement link since no announcement body (text information) is available for display.
Kindly note that to take advantage of the update, churches must first have the OnlineGiving.org mobile application and the MP Announcement custom component installed into MinistryPlatform. Customers that already have the MP Announcement feature installed will need to update the Announcements optionally.Announcement_Body MP database field to be optional (not required) to take advantage of the feature. We also offer courtesy adjustments to the database table via support@onlinegiving.org.
