New: Searchable Multi-Select Dropdown Menus in the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel
We’re excited to announce a new enhancement to the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel: administrators can now search within multi-select dropdown menus using keywords or characters.
This update makes it easier and faster to find and select the right options, especially in dropdowns that support choosing multiple items at once. Instead of scrolling through long lists, you can simply type to filter and locate what you need.
Previously, search functionality was only available for single-select dropdown menus. With this release, that capability has been expanded to multi-select menus across the Control Panel, improving both efficiency and user experience.
Enhanced Security for Phone Number Lists: Import Features Limited to Master Users
We’re pleased to announce an important update to the Text Marketing > Phone Number Lists feature in the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel.
Effective immediately, the “Import PCO List” and “Import MP Publication” options are now restricted to Donation Administrators (master users).
Why this change?
This update enhances security and oversight. Lists imported from Planning Center or MinistryPlatform often contain large numbers of contacts. By limiting imports to master users, we reduce the risk of accidental or unauthorized bulk text messaging.
What happens if a Text Marketing Administrator tries to import?

Import buttons remain visible to Text Marketing Administrators so they know the feature exists.

If they attempt to use the feature, they’ll receive a friendly error message explaining that only a Donation Administrator (master user) can complete the import.

The message guides them to either request assistance from a Donation Administrator or log in with master-level access.
What this means for you

Donation Administrators (master users) retain full access to import lists seamlessly.

Text Marketing Administrators can still create and manage their own custom phone number lists, but imports from Planning Center or MinistryPlatform will require master-level access.
This safeguard ensures that large-scale imports are carefully managed by those with the highest level of access, protecting both your data integrity and communication practices.
