MinistryPlatform Churches > Optional Update to Record Gift Source into Dedicated Source Field for Donation Recording
We're pleased to announce an optional feature is now available to MinistryPlatform churches to record the gift source into a dedicated MP Source field for the donation recording. Currently, the gift source is recorded with other additional information into the MP Donation Notes field. With this optional update, churches may add a dedicated "Source" VARCHAR(100) field to the MP Donations and MP Donation_Distributions database tables. Then reach out to our support@onlinegiving.org line to have the feature enabled for their account. Once enabled the feature will record the gift source into the new MP donation "Source" fields. Additionally, our support staff can provide the church with a CSV spreadsheet for their DBA to backfill past donations.
