NEW OnlineGiving.org Vision AI Check Scanning OCR
We’re excited to introduce a significant enhancement to the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel's Check Scanning feature. After extensive research and development, we've created a custom Vision AI-powered check scanner with OCR capabilities designed to improve both the accuracy and speed of check scanning. This update includes a variety of optimized detection features:
- Faster OCR Processing: Vision AI's refined processing substantially improves speed and efficiency.
- Enhanced Contact Detection: Identifies contact information with even greater accuracy.
- Bill Pay vs. Regular Check Differentiation: More precise sorting between bill payments and standard checks.
- Enhanced Check Amount Detection: Provides clearer detection of amounts written on checks.
- Memo Line Detection: Streamlined reading of memo lines to capture additional details.
Additionally, the new OnlineGiving.org Vision AI OCR introduces redundant MICR processing that includes multi-layered MICR line processing on four different levels—covering magnetic ink, scanner OCR, and vision OCR. This proprietary MICR line detection algorithm can even identify an amount included within the MICR line on bill pay checks, providing broad compatibility across diverse check formats.
Seamless Integration for Administrators
These features are fully integrated with the OnlineGiving.org Control Panel, requiring no additional updates on the administrator's end—your check scanning experience is now even more powerful, out of the box.
Reminder: With OnlineGiving.org’s advanced Church Management System (ChMS) integration, check scanning is fully supported during the OCR step. When local matches are unavailable, OnlineGiving.org will automatically connect with your ChMS to find potential matches based on contact information detected by Vision AI OCR. The speed of this matching process is influenced by the response time of your ChMS server.
This latest release reflects a major performance upgrade over previous ACheck21 MICR OCR capabilities. However, please note that OCR processing times may vary depending on your ChMS integration and server response times.
