Security Updates to New Guest Giving Flow for Non-USA, VPN, or DoD Traffic:
An update is now live to OnlineGiving.org's advanced multi-layer security system. Often, hackers and fraudsters attempt to route their requests through proxies, VPNs, and non-USA connections to hide their activity. For this reason, part of OnlineGiving.org's many different layers is to require a reCaptcha to be completed at strategic points for any inbound traffic coming into our system from a high-risk location or scenario. The latest Guest Giving flow is designed to allow repeat guest givers to easily access their saved payment methods using codes either via text message or email. This step requires a reCaptcha for individuals accessing our platform using a high-risk internet connection. We're pleased to report we've enhanced that process using an "invisible" version of reCaptcha so that donors using a high-risk VPN will have less friction/steps to complete their gift while still keeping church merchant accounts safe. Kindly note that this update only applies to individuals accessing our platform on a high-risk internet connection, which is only a very small subset of donors. Most donors access our platform using a USA based internet connection, and for this reason, they do not have to complete any reCaptcha test.
