MinistryPlatform Single Sign-on Enhanced with Support for MP Widgets with Embedded Giving

We're pleased to report our single sign-on for embedded giving has been enhanced to include support for authentication with MP Widgets. Embedded giving is designed to live behind the ChMS login/registration features and supports many shared authentication types commonly known as a single sign-on. Single sign-on allows the current user's information to be securely passed to the embedded giving to prevent the donor from logging in twice. Traditionally, for MinistryPlatform churches, the embedded giving would live behind the MP Portal login and registration features. However, MinistryPlatform has released its new MP Widgets designed to replace the MP Portal and exist directly on a church website. We've upgraded OnlineGiving.org's embedded giving to support MP's new Widget JWT OAuth authentication. Churches using embedded giving may now take advantage of the new MP Widgets and contact support@onlinegiving.org to schedule their embedded giving to be installed/migrated to their church website from the MP Portal. Kindly note embedded has fallback support the MP Portal, and no action is required for churches who currently do not desire to use MP Widgets. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to support@onlinegiving.org

MinistryPlatform Inbound Single Sign-on Enhanced with Support for JWT Tokens

We're pleased to report an enhancement is now live for MinistryPlatform churches. OnlineGiving.org now supports MinistryPlatform JWT ID authentication tokens for single sign-on. The update extends the existing MinistryPlatform methods of single sign-on with the latest MP Widget authentication technology. Churches who migrate from the MP Portal to MP Widgets can reach out to support@onlinegiving.org for a courtesy installation of the single sign-on enabled links to their church website using MP Widgets. Additionally, we've updated the inbound "mp_token" URL parameter to support MP's JWT ID tokens for those who desire to use them in custom mobile apps, websites, or email blasts, etc. Kindly note OnlineGiving.org has fallback support traditional MP single sign-on. No action is required for churches who currently do not desire to use MP Widgets. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to support@onlinegiving.org
