Feature Updates for July 2017 - Week 29 of 52
Fellowship One Match Algorithm Enhancements
An update is now live that enhances our Fellowship One matching algorithm. Online Giving uses an advanced multi-factor matching algorithm for matching individual profiles to donor profiles missing a F1 identifier. This process is performed automatically for our F1 clients. We are pleased to announce we have upgraded our algorithm to take household position into account when reviewing scenarios where multiple matches are returned. Online Giving will now give priority to the Head, Spouse positions before Child and Other positions when considering matches. Meaning, head and spouses of households will not be considered a prior to other results. The goal of this enhancement is to avoid matching a donor to a child when a valid head or spouse is available. As always we are committed to providing your church the highest level of quality ChMS possible.
Show Funds/Sub-Fund Drop Down by Default for Custom Giving Pages
An update is now live that upgrades the custom giving pages feature. A church may now select to have the funds/sub-funds drop down menu visible by default. The goal of the update is to give the church an option to not preselect any fund/sub-fund, forcing the donor to choose. An example of this might be for Mission Trip custom giving pages. To take advantage of the new feature you may edit any existing custom giving page or create a new one and select the option under "Show Funds/Sub-Funds Drop Down Menu by Default". On a related note, we have an optional feature to enable drop down menus by default globally on all donation forms. Contact us today should you wish to enable this feature globally.
WooCommerce Plugin Released (Beta)
Online Giving is pleased to present our new WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. Free for use for all churches with the $50 plan or higher. The new plugin allows the church to use the most popular e-commerce WordPress shopping cart WooCommerce with the Process4Change gateway. Avoid having to setup a separate gateway and merchant account for your WooCommerce website.
Now churches can use the same Process4Change gateway for WooCommerce. But that's not all the plugin does. The new WooCommerce Online Giving plugin syncs all of your customer's card payment information with their donor account at Online Giving. Anytime a donor adds a new card at Online Giving it's pushed to their matching WooCommerce customer profile for use on purchasing products. Likewise, when a WooCommerce customer adds a new card on an order it's pushed to the matching Online Giving donor profile. There is even more, our new plugin pushes new customers, customer updates to Online Giving. Likewise, Online Giving will push new donors and donor profile update to their matching WooCommerce customer profiles.
The new WooCommerce plugin has a hybrid design that integrates with both your payment gateway's API and Online Giving's service API. We've designed the plugin to be hybrid to offer maximum flexibility for transaction processing for non donation payments. Transactions are processed directly with the same (Process4Change) gateway that your Online Giving account uses. If you would like more information on our new WooCommerce Plugin (now accepting beta testors) please contact us today.
