Importing of Ministry Platform Contact Email vs MP User Email

An update is now live to our Ministry Platform integration that changes which email address is used when importing a MP portal user. Specifically the MP integration sections that imported the email address from MP have been updated to use the contact email address with fallback to the user email address. Kindly note contact email address will only be used if present and not the default MP contact. The integration features/sections listed below are affected by this update:

- MP credentials (username/password) based login on Online Giving sign-in form.

- MP Single Sign-on From MP Portal to Online Giving

Ministry Platform Event Registration End Date Updates

An optional update is now live to our mobile application customers with MP integration. We've upgraded our integration to take into account the Event registration end date along with the event registration active status for displaying options to register for an event. Prior to the update only the MP event registration active status was taken into account. The update changes this allowing the software to check both the event registration active status and the registration end date (if present) to ensure it's not expired. Registration end dates are check based on the timezone of the church and not the local user device.

Ministry Platform Default Congregation for New Households

An optional update is now live to our Ministry Platform customers that adds the option for a default congregation for new MP households. A church may now request a default congregation for new households be created by Online Giving. Additionally, Online Giving will take into account the donors preferred campus when creating new households. In the event a preferred campus is present on the donor profile and a match is found by name to a MP congregation, then the matching congregation will be used when creating new households. The goal of the upgrade is to start providing congregation information on new household records when available.
