Feature Updates for September 2017 - Week 38 of 52
Giving Kiosk Muli-Line Donation Support Added (For Windows Based Kiosks)
An update is now live that upgrades our Window's based kiosks with support for multi-line donations. Church's with Window kiosks may obtain the updates simply by rebooting their kiosk machines. The update allows donor to give to a single fund or multiple funds via the giving kiosk. For a video demo of our new multi-line kiosk layout please visit: https://vimeo.com/234741190
Optional Custom Header Added to Giving Pages
An update is now live that upgrades our custom giving pages feature to allow an administrator to (optionally) add a custom header on any giving page using a visual editor. When creating or editing a custom giving page in the Online Giving control panel an administrator will now see a visual editor named Page Header. The goal of the update is to allow church's to optionally add formatted header text to any giving page. For example the feature may be useful for giving pages that require special instructions or similar.
Expiring Card Notifications Can Now be Limited to Recurring Only
An optional update is now live that allows the church to request their expiring card notifications to be limited to cards associated with recurring gifts. By default expiring card notifications are send out to all cards on file that are approaching their expiration date. However, a church may now request that those notifications be limited to recurring donors only. The update is optional. To take advantage of the optional feature please submit a support ticket to have it enabled for your account. Please note we do not recommend enabling this feature unless you are certain you want to limit the email notifications as the majority of donors will find expiring card emails useful even if they don't have recurring gifts.
Optional Feature to Always Force Sub-Fund Selection
An optional update is now live that allows the church to force the sub-fund on the donation form to always have to be selected (not auto selected). By default Online Giving is designed to auto select the first sub-fund for the donor. The goal of the default setup is to reduce the amount of steps required by the donor to complete their donations. In most cases the default fund/sub-fund is Tithes & Offerings and the majority of donors are tithing which allows the donors to not have to click to select a fund which is one less step to completing their act of generosity. However, a scenario may exist for a church who has the need to force the donor to select a sub-fund for each gift. The goal of the optional update is to accommodate those churches. This update is strictly optional (not recommended unless nessessary). To take advantage of the optional feature please submit a support ticket to have it enabled.
MP Church Optional Feature for Digital Statements Checkbox on Donation Form
An optional update is now live for churches using Ministry Platform (MP) to have a checkbox on the donation form for the donor to opt into digital statements. Once the feature is enabled a checkbox will be displayed on the donation form for signed-in donors asking them if they would like to opt into digital statements. In the event the donor opts into digital statements the software will update their MP Donor record to show email/digital statements.
Additional Validation Error Message Now Displayed on Bottom of Donation Form
An update is now live that adds an additional error message directly above the make donation button on the make donation form and is displayed in addition to the form validation error messages. The goal of the update is to display an additional error help message to inform the donors that additional errors are present above should the donor be using a device with a small screen height.
