Event Triggers > Recurring Gift Modification Trigger

An update is now live that adds a new event trigger option named "Trigger Event on Recurring Gift Modification". When enabled the event trigger will allow notification to be sent out anytime an existing recurring schedule is updated by the donor. Additionally, the new "Trigger Event on Recurring Gift Modification" option can be combined with an "AND" or "OR" logical operator with other event trigger conditions such as funds/sub-fund matching, gift frequency, and more.

Introducing the Repeat Decline Cleaner

We're pleased to report an update is now live that enhances our donation platform with a feature that will automatically detect recurring gifts with repeat declines and update them as canceled. In order for a recurring schedule to qualify for cancellation, the schedule must have 3 or more declines in a row. Additionally, the most recent transaction associated with the schedule must have a decline status and the payment method associated with the most recent transaction must match that of the recurring schedule. The latter is a check to ensure that the software is not canceling schedules that have been recently updated with new payment information or have started to get approved. The feature is designed to scan for repeat declining schedules once daily and will update those canceled as needed. In the event, a recurring schedule is canceled by the system the software will display a message next to the cancellation date indicating it was a system cancellation when viewing an associated transaction.
