Rock RMS Native Mobile Application Integration

Ministry Platform Gift Frequency Added to Donation Notes
An update is now live for Ministry Platform (MP) churches that adds the donation gift frequency (one-time, weekly, etc) to the donation notes MP field when recording donations.
Custom Form Export Now Includes Transaction Information
An update is now live that updates the custom form export feature to include gateway transaction number and donation amount to the CSV export. Prior to the update churches had to navigate to donations export to obtain transaction information. The update allows the donation amount and transaction gateway id to be included with the custom form field information for easy exporting.
Funds Export Updated with Shortened URL Column
An update is now live that adds an additional column to the funds export feature with a shortened URL. The shortened URL is designed to be easy to share for mission trips, etc.
Facebook Share Metadata for Primary Donation Form, Custom Giving Pages and Custom Forms:
An update is now live that adds metadata output for Facebook to allow the title from the customs forms and custom giving pages to be used along with the church name. Facebook will now be able to grab the giving page (or custom form) title for link sharing from these pages. Titles for custom giving pages and customs forms will now be used by Facebook when direct linking to those pages.
Dashboard Weekly Graph Updated to use Monday - Sunday Week:
An update is now live that updates the dashboard weekly donations graph to calculate based on a Monday - Sunday week and to display the week date ranges labels for better readability.
Recurring Schedules Export Updated with Fund/Sub-Fund Title Columns
An update is now live that upgrades our recurring schedules export spreadsheet with the fund and sub-fund titles (see attached). You may now view the fund and sub-fund title in the spreadsheet when exporting recurring donation schedules from the control panel.
Ministry Platform Deposit Amounts Now Supported for Payment/Invoice Recording (requires mobile app)
An update is now live for Ministry Platform churches that upgrades the payment and invoice recording to take into account deposit amounts. Additionally, the update changed the base payment line item to use the deposit amount for partial payments. Kindly note this update only applies to Ministry Platform churches currently using our payment/invoice features with Online Giving's native mobile application for Android and iPhone devices.
Ministry Platform Invoice/Payment Checkout Form Upgrades
An update is now live for the Ministry Platform invoice/payment checkout form for native mobile application customers. The upgrade includes multiple enhancements to our MP integration --
- New "Pre-Fill Form" drop-down menu for MP event registrations, MP group contact and MP opportunity forms:
- Drop-down menu options display household member names.
- Upon selecting a menu option, the contact information (first/last name, email and mobile phone) are auto-populated into the contact fields.
- MP event registration contact fields are not prefixed with "Attendee's ..." (see attached)
- MP event registration contact fields no longer auto-populated by default to avoid confusion. Instead, they can use the "Pre-Fill Form" drop-down menu (similar to MP)
- MP group contact and MP opportunity forms still auto-populate contact information and do not have any prefixes (same as before)
- The software will now perform an advanced auto-matching on the contact information provided to match an MP contact with the following logic:
- Search for attendee under the donor's MP User Household first for matching first/last name. If a match is found, stop searching.
- Pull contacts by the email address and phone number provided, then pull all household members associated with those contacts and search that record set by first and last name. If a match is found, stop searching.
- If no match is found, use default MP contact.
- The software will now detect and honor "add to group" values for product options.
- In the event, a "add to group" option is present and selected with submission, then the software will now record Group Participants
- In the event, a Group Participant has recorded, the group role is either "Group Participant" or "Group Member" (whichever is present in the system)
- In the event, a Group Participant has recorded, the Group Participant ID will be included when recording Event Participation
- Event Participation is no longer limited to the associated (signed-in) MP User. Smart matching is now performed as described in the section above.
- Group Participation is now recorded with events when "add to group" option is enabled. Group Participation is now recorded with event participation.
- Prefix on contact forms for events now presents to avoid confusion where the attendee is not signed-in MP user.
- The pre-fill option allows easy auto-populating of contact information for household members.
Single Sign-On API Access Provided to Blackpulp.com
We are pleased to announce we have provided Blackpulp.com with API integration tools to have the ability to provide single sign-on from external Blackpulp.com powered applications into Online Giving. Kindly note this service is enabled on a per account basis and only with the direct permission of the church. Additionally, Blackpulp.com may have to your external applications to include support which may be subject to additional terms and/or fees outside the realm of control of Online Giving. My Recurring Page Updated to Show Processing Status
An update is now live that updates the "My Recurring" page to now show a "processing" status when a gift is being processed. In the event, a gift is scheduled to be processed on the same day as the donor views the "My Recurring" page, the software will now show the gift with a "processing" status to inform the donor the gift is currently processing. The goal of the update is to inform the donor the gift is actively being processed should they attempt to view/edit the gift schedule on the exact date it's scheduled for processing. Once the gift is processed and the schedule is incremented, the software will hide the "processing" status and allow the donor to edit the schedule.
Text Giving Duplicate Detection Updated to Detect Carrier Duplicates
An update is now live that extends the duplicate checking for text giving to account for cell phone carrier provided duplicates. Carrier provided duplicates are extremely rare and can happen when a cell phone carrier provides duplicate notifications to Twilio. Since the duplicates are direct from the carrier level, Twilio will assign unique Message-IDs to each duplicate message making it bypass normal duplicate detection methods. Online Giving will now search for the exact text message and text giving the source in the transaction history prior to processing the transaction. In the event, an existing transaction record is found processing (or completed) within a 30-second window then the secondary message is discarded as a carrier duplicate no matter if they have a unique Twilio Message-ID. We are pleased to continue to provide our customers with industry-leading protection and features for text giving.
Inbound Text Giving Upgraded to Background Queues
An update is now live that moves inbound text giving processing from the foreground onto our advanced background queues. Prior to the update, all inbound text giving notifications were handled in the foreground. Our Google-powered background processing queues allow an inbound message to be processed right away. However, unlike foreground processing, background processing allows our platform to automatically retry requests and to shape inbound traffic. The goal of the update is to provide extream availability for special events that produce massive amounts of simultaneous inbound messages.
Ministry Platform Small Groups Finder Optional Map Legend Support
An update is now live that adds support for displaying a map legend for the map view of the MP small groups finder. MP churches using Online Giving's native mobile application have access to an MP small groups finder. The optional feature allows the display of a map legend for campus color-coded map icons.
Recurring Schedules Control Panel Updated to Display End Dates
An update is now live that updates the control panel recurring schedules feature to now display end date information for recurring schedules. End dates are only possible via custom forms. In the event an end-date is associated with a recurring subscription, the software will now display that information on the recurring schedules page. Additionally, we've added a new status "Completed" for any recurring gift schedule that has reached its end date and/or one-time schedule donations that have completed.
