Feature Updates 6/25/2020
Rock RMS > Address Duplicate Prevention Enhanced with SmartyStreet Address Standardization
We are pleased to report an update is now live that enhances our Rock RMS integration (globally for all churches on our platform). We've extended our address updating feature to enhance the existing address matching which prevents duplicate addresses from being created into your Rock RMS database. Specifically, on top of our existing matching methods, we've added address standardization with SmartyStreets which is the same address standardization service Rock RMS natively.
In the event, the integration is not able to match the street address and/or the geolocation based on the donor formatted address. The integration will assume the address may contain typos and/or invalid address components and will now send the address to SmartyStreets for standardization. The standardized address is then updated on the donor's OnlineGiving.org profile and the updated address is used for matching. The end result is the integration will now support address duplicate detection based on street name, geolocation, and standardization (via SmartyStreets). The addition of address standardization in the matching algorithm will ensure that any address changes due to SmartyStreet updates in Rock will be matched by the OnlineGiving.org integration and a duplicate will not be created.
iOS Tapback SMS Detection
We are pleased to report an update is now live that detects iOS tap-back response text messages and prevents them from being processed. The update includes support for detecting tap-back messages such as "Loved", "Liked", "Emphasized", "Questioned", "Laughed at" and "Disliked". Moving forward any inbound text message that is prefixed with the iOS tap-back emotion will be discarded (not-processed).
